Track and field: Babcock easily wins 1,600 -- Dunne takes Division I

Christine Babcock of Woodbridge was four seconds faster than any of her competition in the girls’ 1,600 Saturday at the Southern Section-Toyota Division II championships at Mt. SAC. Babcock ran 4:49.32, nearly four seconds off her season-best 4:45.96, which she ran at the Orange County Championships.

Alexandra Dunne of San Clemente won in Division I with the day’s second-fastest mark, 4:53.89.
