Long Beach Poly finished 1-2-3 Saturday in the Southern Section-Toyota Championships Division I girls’ 400 meters race, but freshman Akawkaw Ndipagbor, junior Jasmine Joseph and senior Tanisha Hawkins had to recieve medical attention afterward because of heat exhaustion and dehydration. Despite the scary finish, all three qualified for Friday’s Masters meet at Cerritos College. The trio came back and also qualified for the Masters meet in the 200-meters race.

Below is a video of the ending of the girls’ 400 meters Division I race. The camera is mostly trained on first-place finisher Ndipagbor, who is visibly wobbly at the conclusion of the race.
