In all the field events and the individual track events that are 800 meters or more, the top 12 qualify for Masters; otherwise, it’s the top nine.

Rancho Verde continued to excel with its exceptionally young squad. It won in Division I at 46.20 seconds. It’s the fastest time in the state coming into the day. Long Beach Poly, which had been the state’s fastest at 46.27, was second in Division I at 46.38.

Rio Mesa finished first in Division II, and St. Mary’s in Division IV. No teams out of Division III qualified for the Masters.

The program doesn’t say who is running on the relay teams, but last week at the Division I prelims, RV’s team was listed as freshman Ashley Marshall, junior Brittany Bozeman, sophomore Alycia Herring and sophomore Asia Gooden.

Girls’ 400-relay teams advancing to the Masters meet:

1. Rancho Verde, 46.20
2. Long Beach Poly, 46.38
3. St. Mary’s Academy, 46.62
4. Rio Mesa, 47.13

6. Los Osos 47.40
7. Paraclete 47.66
