Track and field: San Clemente runner gets it ‘Dunne,’ then she talks

Encouraged by a sign that reminded her to get it Dunne, San Clemente junior Alexandra Dunne finished first in the Division II girls’ 1,600 Saturday at the Southern Section-Toyota championships at Mt. San Antonio College. Dunne’s time of 4:53.89 was the econd-best of the day, behind Woodbridge’s Christine Babcock. Dunne and Babcock will meet on the track next Friday during the Masters meet in Cerritos, where they will attempt to qualify for the state championships.
