Baseball: Changes could be coming in City seeding procedures

After the latest complaints about coaches directly involved in the playoffs, putting together the seedings for the City Section baseball playoffs, City administrator John Aguirre said Tuesday there could be changes coming.

‘There have been several coaches who have said it’s time to review what they’re doing and look for alternatives,’ Aguirre said.

It’s up to the baseball coaches as an organization to make any changes in procedures. The boys’ basketball coaches changed the way they put together their seedings last year, removing coaches from the meeting and putting it in the hands of administrators and retired coaches.
