I didn’t give Trabuco Hills much of a chance in Tuesday’s Southern Section-Toyota Division I second round game against Simi Valley. The Pioneers, after all, entered the game as the prohibitive favorite, with good reason considering they’re the top seed with an unblemished record at 27-0.

However, Kayla Massey is making things interesting. The sophomore pitcher has been seemingly unhittable at times, giving up one hit and striking out eight thus far as Trabuco Hills trails 1-0 heading in to the bottom of the fifth. Stay tuned for more updates.
