Boys’ volleyball: Corona del Mar takes lead after Game 3

It appears as if Jeff Carlson is taking over. The senior outside hitter from Corona del Mar has eight kills through three games and his efficient hitting has helped the Sea Kings take a 25-16, 24-26, 25-22 lead over Santa Barbara in Wednesday’s Southern Section-Toyota Division II semifinal match.

The second-seeded Dons had better find a way to stop the USC-bound free-swinger, and find it quickly, or they could end up losing at home to third-seeded Corona del Mar. Game 4 is about to start, so expect more updates soon.
