A score just arrived in Newhall. Crescenta Valley, trying to remain unbeaten this season, has a 3-0 lead over Santa Monica in the bottom of the sixth inning of their quarterfinal. Crescenta Valley is the top-seeded team in Division III of the Southern Section-Toyota playoffs.

Crescenta Valley has already beaten Santa Monica this season, 5-3, in the final of the High Desert Classic in March.
