Been busy lately and haven’t had time to do many recruiting updates, so I figured it was about time to check in with Josh Nunes and see how things were going. Not surprisingly, the junior quarterback from Upland has been just as busy, perhaps more so than me, considering all the attention he has been getting.

As my colleague Eric Sondheimer noted in an earlier blog, Nunes received his 19th scholarship offer Thursday, this one from Florida, after a visit from Gators offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dan Mullen on Monday. Turns out, the 6-foot-4 prospect had plenty to say about the newest program interested in him.

‘This is a great offer and I’m excited to research Florida more in the near future,’’ Nunes said. ‘It was great to be able to meet Coach Mullen in person. ... To have an opportunity to throw in front of him was very exciting. If I went there, they would do some things differently than how they do now, kind of tailor the offense around what I can do.’’
