Baseball: Division II quarterfinal about an hour away from first pitch

Getting ready to leave my house and head North for Saturday’s Southern Section-Toyota Division II quarterfinal showdown between Redlands East Valley (24-3) and host Oxnard (21-5), and I anticipate this game being an ol’ fashioned fight to the end, considering how much is at stake.

The winner, after all, advances to the semifinals Tuesday, one step closer to Thursday’s title game at Dodger Stadium. I figure it will take about 30-plus minutes to get to the Yellowjackets’ field, which gives me plenty of time to settle in and prepare for all the action. Stay tuned for updates.
