Boys’ volleyball: Mira Costa draws even, it’s do-or-die for Division I title

Mira Costa has won back-to-back games and pulled even with top-seeded Newport Harbor at two games apiece in the Southern Section-Toyota Division I championship Saturday at Cal State Dominguez Hills. The Mustangs, ranked No. 9 in the nation, won Game 4, 25-19.

Newport Harbor, ranked No. 1 in the nation, has now lost more games in this match -- two -- than it had in the entire playoffs.

Now, it’s do-or-die: First team to 15 points -- and win by two points -- is champion.
