The Southern Section-Toyota Division I final is set: Defending champion Long Beach Wilson vs. Simi Valley on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.
The Bruins (28-5-1) defeated Norco, 5-3, in Tuesday’s semifinals at UC Riverside. Ray Hanson (4-0) pitched the first six innings, striking out 10 and giving up three hits.
Aaron Hicks pitched the seventh. Hicks walked the first two batters and gave up a two-run single to Matt Hobgood, who had three of his team’s four hits. He walked a third batter, putting the tying run on base. But Daren Carlson hit into a game-ending double play.
Norco finished 24-4.
