Softball: Division I semifinal is getting started in Ventura County

Well, we’re underway out here at Rancho Santa Susana Park, the site of today’s showdown between visiting Norco and Simi Valley in a Southern Section-Toyota Division I semifinal, and the Cougars failed to score in the top of the first inning.

Amber Olive led off the bottom half of the inning with a single for the top-seeded Pioneers. Jessica Soria is up at the plate and Brianna Stephan is on deck. I’ll make sure to send over as many updates over the course of this game. Stay tuned.
