Softball: Simi Valley defeats Norco in Division I semfinal

Tawny Reeger scored on an Allison Mapes single in the fourth inning and Simi Valley made the lead hold up in Tuesday’s Southern Section-Toyota playoff semifinal, defeating Norco, 1-0, to advance to Saturday’s title game.

The top-seeded Pioneers (30-0) will play Valencia, a 3-2 winner over Corona Santiago in Tuesday’s other Division I semifinal. More detailed information to come.
