Baseball: Both pitchers find grooves, South Hills still leads

South Hills is creeping closer to its sixth title. Huskies pitcher Derek Klena has a three-hit shutout after four innings against second-seeded Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Klena has struck out five and walked two.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame’s Nik Rodarte has also found his groove, pitching three consecutive scoreless innings after giving up a run in each of the first two frames.

So, here we go into the bottom of the fifth with South Hills leading, 2-0, in the Southern Section-Toyota Division III final Thursday at Dodger Stadium.
