The final score seems improbable -- the victor is unlikely. But who cares, right?

El Toro mugged top-seeded Redlands East Valley, 7-0, in the Southern Section-Toyota Division II final at Dodger Stadium Thursday night, winning its first section baseball title. The Chargers also gave UCLA-bound flame-thrower Tyler Chatwood his first loss of the season after he notched nine consecutive victories.

Unofficially, El Toro’s Tyler Zeigler pitched a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts and two walks while Andrew Marian’s three-run triple in the seventh inning sealed the triumph.

Down on the field, El Toro Coach Mike Gonzales is hoisting the CIF plaque high as the Charger fans are whooping it up.

Great job, Chargers.
