Baseball: El Toro’s Zeigler is outsmarting Redlands East Valley

On the mound, El Toro lefty Tyler Zeigler is an artist -- no, an artiste. He zig-zags pitches inside and outside while mixing in fancy hooks with sneaky fastballs. He overpowers no batter -- he outwits them.

Zeigler’s currently outwitting top-seeded Redlands East Valley with a three-hitter through five innings as the Chargers lead, 2-0, heading into the top of the sixth of the Southern Section-Toyota Division II final Thursday night at Dodger Stadium.

Let’s see if Zeigler can keep the artistry going.
