Baseball: Redlands East Valley is finding no relief

Redlands East Valley lifted starter Tyler Chatwood and inserted Jeremy Perez with one out and one on in the top of the sixth inning of the Southern Section-Toyota Division II final Thursday night at Dodger Stadium.

Didn’t work out.

Perez gave up a walk and a single -- there was also another outfielding blunder -- and the Chargers lit up the scoreboard for two more runs. Meanwhile, El Toro’s starter Tyler Zeigler just cruised through the bottom of the sixth.

El Toro’s leading, 4-0 , heading into the seventh inning as its fans chant: ‘Let’s go Chargers!’
