Hart’s Johnny MacArthur, pictured, beat Santa Barbara’s Andrew Perez in a two-hole playoff Thursday to win the CIF/SCGA Southern California Regional in Murrieta. Both players finished regulation play with a score of five-under-par 67.

MacArthur, who lost to Perez in a two-hole playoff in the Southern Section-Toyota individual finals last week, will go into Tuesday’s CIF state championship in Santa Maria as the No. 1-seeded player from Southern California. That’s him, pictured, during play last week.
