Softball: El Modena kicks things off with back-to-back home runs

El Modena’s Kylie Wagner and Emiley McEwen hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning to stake the Vanguards to a 3-0 lead over Glendora in the Southern Section-Toyota Division II championship game at Barber Park in Irvine.

They are still batting and the rally appears far from over as Carly Fellhoelter followed the home runs with a single to right.

Glendora’s starting pitcher, junior Dana Waldusky, is probably wishing she could hit the reset button and start this game over.
