Baseball: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame gets No. 1 state ranking

CalHiSports.com has ranked Sherman Oaks Notre Dame’s baseball team No. 1 in its final rankings, ahead of Southern Section Division I champion Simi Valley.

The Knights won the Division III championship and own an early season victory over Simi Valley. But the Pioneers didn’t use their No. 1 pitcher in that game, and winning Division I certainly gives them strong support to be the No. 1 team in the Southland.

Who deserves to be No. 1 in Southern California?

To me, winning the Southern Section Division I championship trumps everything.
