Softball: Petty, Koria on opposite sides in all-star battle

The South Bay Athletic Club will play host to its 16th annual Girls’ All-Star softball game at 7 p.m. Thursday at Recreation Park in El Segundo.

One of the most interesting parts of this game is that teams are not selected geographically, but competitively. City Section champion San Pedro pitcher Taylor Petty (87 career victories) is on one team and her catcher, Perelini Koria (45 career home runs), is on the other.
