Baseball: Huntington Beach’s Drummond picked in Round 34

Calvin Drummond, a right-handed pitcher from Huntington Beach, was the lone player from the Southland drafted Friday in Round 34 of Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft. Drummond was taken with pick No. 1,028 by the Milwaukee Brewers.
