Baseball: Two more Southland pitchers taken in Round 16 of MLB draft

Miguel Flores, a right-handed pitcher from Cerritos College by way of St. John Bosco High, was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 16th round Friday with the 485th pick overall in Major League Baseball’s first-year player draft.

Travis Babin, a right-handed pitcher from Sonoma State by way of Saugus High, was taken 494th by the New York Mets.
