Ted Landers hasn’t receive much, if any, attention from NCAA Division I scouts. The lack of recognition up to this point is somewhat understandable, considering the quarterback from Gardena Serra plays the same position as Southland standouts such as Matt Barkley and Richard Brehaut.

Things, however, are beginning to change. Landers has been impressive during spring workouts and appears poised to break through this summer. Colorado and Oregon State are interested in the 6-foot-4 junior, according to these quotes. A trip to Nebraska looms as a possibility too.

Living in the shadow of Barkley and Brehaut can’t be fun. Making matters worse is the fact that quarterbacks Allan Bridgford and Josh Nunes have typically been mentioned before Landers. But with continued improvement, the Cavaliers’ signal-caller is carving out his niche.
