Football: Croson has high hopes for Knox’s replacement

Two-time City Section player of the year Milton Knox has graduated from Birmingham and is now a freshman at UCLA, leaving a big hole in the Patriots’ backfield.

But Coach Ed Croson believes strongly in junior running back Trajuan Briggs, who will take over for Knox. Briggs showed good potential as a sophomore.
