Football: Sophomore Blackwell is newest Mater Dei standout

Mater Dei Coach Bruce Rollinson raved about the speed of sophomore receiver Victor Blackwell during preseason workouts, and Blackwell is putting on a show on ESPN2.

After returning the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown, he just caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Matt Barkley, giving the Monarchs a 12-0 lead over Carson with 6:45 left in the first quarter.
