Football: Bishop Amat’s Seals excels on and off the field

Isaiah Bowens and Sheldon Price may be Bishop Amat‘s UCLA-bound headliners, but don’t underestimate what LB/RB Brent Seals brings to the table.

The 2007 All-Serra League selection will play a key role in the Lancers’ quest to move up the Pac-5 Division food chain. Seals had 107 tackles as a junior and it’s pretty much a given that he’ll be terrorizing running backs again this fall.

Of course, there’s more to Seals than his ability to mimic train wrecks with opposing RBs. Thanks to his 4.4 GPA and 1900 SAT score, Seals has already raked in offers from Harvard and Dartmouth. Colorado State and Utah have also expressed interest in Seals, who’s projected to play as a safety at the college level.

I’m sure a lot of folks will have their eyes pinned on him when Bishop Amat takes on a strong Los Osos squad (ranked No. 16 by The Times) on Friday night. Until then, check out Seals’ YouTube moments:
