Football: Barr’s three TDs lead Loyola

Junior running back Anthony Barr rushed for 161 yards in 20 carries and scored three touchdowns to help Loyola (2-0) defeat Palos Verdes, 34-0, Saturday in a nonleague game.

The Cubs made two interceptions and recovered two fumbles.
