It took only two plays for Corona Centennial to get on the scoreboard against Mater Dei. Quarterback Taylor Martinez completed a 29-yard pass to UCLA-bound Ricky Marvray and then Arthur Burns ran 10 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

Mater Dei responded with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Ario Winston. These two teams combined for a state-record 1,302 yards last season and 88 points. It might be another wild one.

The Huskies already have a sack against quarterback Matt Barkley, who went the first seven games last season without being sacked.
