Santa Ana Mater Dei had better be ready for Corona Centennial’s no-huddle offense tonight or it could be a long night for the Monarchs.

Quarterback Matt Scott is now at Arizona, but Centennial’s new quarterback, Taylor Martinez, has a scholarship to Nebraska and seems ready to guide the Huskies’ attack.

Mater Dei’s defense has to play better than it did in a triple overtime victory over Carson two weeks ago.

This is a huge game as far as CIF state championship bowl game implications. A Centennial win means the Huskies will control their own destiny. If they win out, they’ll be selected for the open division or Division I. A Centennial loss opens up everything.
