Loyola junior running back Anthony Barr is already showing why he’s going to be one of the most sought-after players from the class of 2010. He scored on a 35-yard run to give the Cubs a 7-0 lead over De La Salle with 8:47 left in the first quarter.

De La Salle was stopped on its opening possession, then got off a 17-yard punt. Loyola’s strategy was to give the ball to Barr on three consecutive carries, and he broke to the outside and used his speed to run away from the Spartans.
