Yes, members of the media make mistakes, as in our eyesight.

At the Mater Dei-Corona Centennial game on Friday night, The Times, Orange County Register and Riverside Press-Enterprise all reported that Centennial running back Arthur Burns finished with four touchdowns.

But we all apparently got it wrong. Quarterback Taylor Martinez should have been given a touchdown on fourth down in the second quarter instead of Burns that made it 26-21. It means Martinez and Burns each finished with three touchdowns on the night.

No excuses, but Centennial’s no-huddle offense makes it difficult to keep your head up at all times. I’m going to have to work on multitasking.
