Football: Mater Dei leads after wild first half

L.A. Jordan, playing its third consecutive top 25 opponent, got Mater Dei’s attention Thursday night, scoring the first three touchdowns of the first quarter.

But Mater Dei has come back to lead at halftime, 27-26.

DeShawn Beck of Jordan has caught a touchdown and run back an interception for a touchdown. The Bulldogs have twice intercepted Matt Barkley, including freshman Raymond Ford in the end zone.
