Former Ventura High running back Tyler Ebell, who set a state career rushing record with 7,385 yards, will have his No. 2 uniform retired during a ceremony planned for halftime of Ventura’s game against St. Bonaventure on Oct. 24.

Ebell, who went on to play for UCLA and is in the Canadian Football League, is expected to attend the ceremony. He’s sidelined with a ruptured Achilles.
