Football: Canyon and Hart tied 7-7 at the end of the first

There’s been no shortage of highlights during the first quarter of Friday night’s showdown between rivals Canyon and Hart here at College of the Canyons.

Hart tried to use the element of surprise early on but was unsuccessful in its attempt at an onside kick to open the game. The Cowboys capitalized on the good field position and ended up scoring first when Geffen Camp scored on a 1-yard run with 8:50 left in the first quarter.

The Indians answered on their subsequent drive. Spencer Souza drove Hart downfield with relative ease, and ultimately, found Ted Glasnow on a 16-yard touchdown pass to tie the game 7-7 with just more than seven minutes left in opening quarter. Stay tuned for more updates.
