I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess UCLA-bound Richard Brehaut will be happy once he learns that the Bruins recently landed an oral commitment from Dalton Hilliard, a 5-foot-11, 180-plus pound running back from Hawaii.

‘Choosing UCLA was one of those things that was a gut feeling,’ Hilliard told Rivals.com. It should also be mentioned that he visited Westwood about a week ago and chose the Bruins over the likes of Nebraska and Notre Dame.

Securing a pledge from Hilliard assures Brehaut, a senior quarterback from Los Osos, another option in the future, to go along with receiver Ricky Marvray of Corona Centennial and tight end Jayson Allmond from Bloomington.
