On Loyola’s opening possession of the third quarter, Bishop Amat’s Jesse Prieto blocked a punt, picked up the ball and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown.
Suddenly, in a game that Loyola has dominated, the Lancers are very much in the game, trailing, 14-6, with 9:49 left in the third quarter after failing to get a two-point conversion.
Bishop Amat is very good at comebacks. The Lancers rallied from a 24-0 deficit earlier this season to defeat Orange Lutheran.
