Give credit to Santiago for not giving up. Teams can surely fall into that trap when they’re playing Centennial. The Sharks opened the third quarter by completing a 10-play, 80-yard drive that ended with a 19-yard touchdown run by Sean Murray at the 8:39 mark. After the extra point, the Huskies led, 35-10.

Centennial chewed up 4:09 on its next drive, displaying a stark contrast to its no-huddle offense. Santiago scored again on the next drive. Sharks quarterback Brandon Connette ran for a 25-yard touchdown with 24 seconds remaining, but Santiago couldn’t tack on the extra point. The score was possible because Santiago decided to go for it on fourth and 10 at Centennial’s 40-yard line. Connette connected with Logan Anderson for 14 yards, which set up the touchdown run three plays later.
