Football: Servite wins coin flip

Servite won the three-way coin flip Saturday morning to become the No. 1 team from the Trinity League. Mater Dei will enter the Pac-5 playoffs No. 2 and Orange Lutheran No. 3.

All three schools finished league play with a 4-1 record. Servite Coach Troy Thomas doesn’t consider himself lucky.

‘We had to win four games in a row,’ he said.
