Oxnard started the second half using the running game both to chew up the clock and to score another touchdown. The Yellowjackets orchestrated 13-play, 85-yard drive that consisted of 76 rushing yards from Sam McCowan. His 1-yard touchdown run and a Martin Gonzalez extra point made it 21-10 with 4:47 remaining.

Westlake resonded with a 6-yard touchdown run from quarterback Nick Isham. The extra point made it 21-17 with 2:33 remaining. Yellowjackets quarterback Dasmen Stewart opened the 4th quarter with a 7-yard touchdown run. After the extra point, Oxnard now leads 28-17 with 11:52 remaining.
