Just when Anthony Barr of Loyola started breaking tackles and picking up yards, Mission Viejo’s Jake Staszak intercepted a Stephen Rokus pass and returned it 74 yards for a touchdown and a 17-0 Diablos lead with just over eight minutes left in the second quarter.
Barr has rushed for 53 yards in 11 carries, but Loyola is in big trouble. The Cubs are not known for coming back from deficits.
