Cross Country: Dana Hills sweeps Division I

Dana Hills won the boys’ and girls’ team titles in Division I at the Southern Section cross country championships Saturday at Mount San Antonio College.
Tyler Valdes of Dana Hills took the individual title with a time of 14:51.
Sophomore Elias Gedyon of Loyola ran the fastest time of the day, winning the Division II title in 14:50. Thousand Oaks won the team title.
In Division I girls, Alex Dunne of San Clemente won in 17:23. Saugus took the Division II girls’ title behind sophomore Kaylin Mahoney, who won in 17:01.
