Here are my choices for Wednesday’s City Invitational quarterfinal games:

Huntington Park at Arleta. Arleta handled the pressure well last week in its first playoff game as the No. 1 seed. Huntington Park will offer a tougher challenge than South East, but Arleta’s strong rushing defense will help it prevail.

L.A. Wilson at Fairfax. Wilson’s defense has been nonexistent, but if it can score three touchdowns, that ought to be enough to beat the Lions.

West Adams at Franklin. I was shocked that West Adams beat Cleveland last week. The second-year program is on the rise. But Franklin has too much experience and talent to lose this one. Beware of William Hernandez, Franklin’s receiver-defensive back who’s having a huge season with 23 TDs.

El Camino Real at Roosevelt. The Conquistadores are a dangerous opponent for Roosevelt. They run the ball very well, but Roosevelt quarterback Jesse Diaz will deliver victory.
