Football: Orange Lutheran-Notre Dame should be fun

I haven’t been more excited to attend a high school football game this season than tonight’s Orange Lutheran-Sherman Oaks Notre Dame Pac-5 quarterfinal game at Santa Ana Stadium.

This is the best offensive team I’ve seen from Notre Dame in Kevin Rooney’s 29 years as coach, and Orange Lutheran offers a great challenge. The Lancers’ offense, which features a QB option, trick plays and lots of different formations, is going to test the Knights.

To me, if Notre Dame gets past the Lancers, the Knights are going to win it all. This is their championship game in my mind.
