Top-ranked Mater Dei and its fabulous starting five began their season Monday night with a 103-45 win over Loara in the Loara tournament.
David Wear scored 19 points, Tyler Lamb scored 16 on eight-of-12 shooting, Andy Brown scored 16, Travis Wear 14 and Gary Franklin 11. Mater Dei led, 85-33, after three quarters.
