Football: Crenshaw survives first big mistake

Narbonne’s Bryan Douglas returned an interception 58 yards to the Crenshaw 31 on the Cougars’ opening possession of the City Championship Division semifinal game at Narbonne, but Crenshaw’s defense has held.

Narbonne is trying to make its first upper-division final in school history. The Gauchos have been eliminated by Crenshaw in the quarterfinals the last two seasons. There already have been four penalties in the first five minutes of the game.
