Former Taft Coach Troy Starr has his Helix High team in the Division II championship game in San Diego after Helix defeated Eastlake, 27-24, Friday night.

Mission Hills Alemany should be rooting for Starr because Helix plays Oceanside next week, and Oceanside is a top contender for a CIF state Division II bowl berth with Alemany and Orange Lutheran.
