With 2:53 left in the fourth, Rancho Cucamonga will be trying to chew off seconds after Justyn Wysinger just intercepted Upland standout quarterback Josh Nunes inside the Cougars’ 15-yard line.
Rancho Cucamonga leads 21-7.
Nunes has thrown three interceptions tonight. The Stanford-bound standout apparently injured his right (throwing-hand) thumb early in the third quarter, according to an Upland coach, depriving the Highlanders of their primary weapon. They had scored 160 points in three playoff victories before this game.
