Coming off a City Invitational championship in only its second year of varsity football, Arleta (14-0) will give consideration to moving up to the City Championship Division next season, Coach Jeff Engilman said Saturday.

‘I would like to go up,’ Engilman said. ‘What the principal and vice principal want, we’ll see. I don’t know if we have the numbers to take the pounding from the Narbonnes.’

Arleta defeated Franklin, 31-8, Friday night in the City Invitational final. It was the fifth title for Engilman, who won two 4-A titles at Sylmar and two 3-A titles at Manual Arts.
